SMASHED at the Guadec boat party

The Guadec boat party last night was really great. A big thank you to the great Collabora people for throwing this awesome party!

I missed the Icecream Death Match. I heard Vincent lost, even though the bets were all in his favor I think.

Another important event took place during our boat trip on the Bosporus, namely the SMASHED mini-conference. SMASHED stands for the Single Malt Appreciation Society for Hackers, Engineers and Developers. The Glenrothes was pretty good, as was the Highland Park. During the SMASHED meeting the bylaws were changed (there weren’t any, but there was consensus there should be some). If I’m not mistaken, the new rules will be (use of verbs of course in accordance with the RFC 2119 guidelines):

Rule number one: Everyone MUST drink.

Rule number two: Everyone SHOULD bring whiskey, BUT a bottle of your national spirit MAY be brought as well.

Rule number three: Anyone MAY bring a toast at any time, and everyone MUST toast and drink.

Rule number four: There SHALL NOT be a rule number four.

Next year I’ll probably bring a bottle of Jenever for the others to taste this (not that) delicious Dutch spirit.
