Since the Ubuntu packages are horribly out of date, rendering the great Muine music player totally useless on Ubuntu systems because of this long-standing Ubuntu Muine bug, I’ve built Muine 0.8.8 packages for Ubuntu:
You can download and install these files by typing sudo dpkg -i muine_0.8.8-0uws_i386.deb muine-plugin-inotify_0.8.8-0uws_i386.deb muine-plugin-trayicon_0.8.8-0uws_all.deb in a terminal in the directory you downloaded these files to.
Note that I don’t use Ubuntu myself, and that these packages have been built on a friend’s laptop, so don’t complain too much. Thanks!
Update: Keywan Najafi Tonekaboni has recompiled my sources for powerpc architectures. Grab the files here: Muine 0.8.8 powerpc Ubuntu/Debian packages. Thanks, Keywan!
